St. Jude Thaddeus

St. Jude Thaddeus was one of the 12 apostles of Jesus. He is also known as "Thaddeus" or "Judas of James", but the name Judas is always accompanied by another name to avoid confusion with Judas Iscariot.

He is represented with a medallion with the face of Christ on his chest, walking towards the court of the king of Edessa and a flame on his head.

He is the patron of lost causes and hopeless or impossible situations.
In reality, the one who wore the medallion on his chest was Thaddeus of Edessa, but when the iconographic error was discovered, the image of Jude Thaddeus wearing the medallion on his chest was already very popular and could not be changed.

The celebration of St. Jude Thaddeus is on October 28, although in Mexico in particular is celebrated on the 28th of each month.
