Infant Jesus of Prague

The Holy Infant Jesus of Prague is an invocation of the Child Jesus known worldwide.

It is a 16th-century Roman Catholic wax-coated wooden image of child Jesus holding a globus cruciger. Pious legends state that the statue once belonged to Saint Teresa of Avila.

It is located in the Carmelite Church of Our Lady Victorious in Malá Strana, Prague, Czech Republic.

In Spain there are two replicas of the Holy Infant of Prague in the village of Treviño, Burgos and another in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands.

The day of the Holy Infant of Prague is celebrated the first Sunday of June.
